He resumed at the university’s study centre in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. Obasanjo met with two final-year students of Christian Theology, Elijah Egehedi-Oke and Toriola Abigael, assigned to him for supervision. The former president recently bagged a PhD on Christian Theology from the tertiary institution, making him the first PhD holder from the university. Obasanjo established NOUN during his tenure. It is a Federal Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institution, the first of its kind in the West African sub-region. Police Arrests 40 Female Cultists During Initiation In Lagos At least 40 females have been arrested by the police in a popular hotel in Lagos, as they were got ready to be initiated into a cult group. According to reports, the suspects were arrested with their male counterparts making the total number of suspects to about 120. The cult group known as Black Axe embarked on the recruitment of both male and female members and had planned that day for their initiation. One Dead, 20 Injured In Accident Involving Minister’s of Sport An accident involving the motorcade of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalong has led to the death of one person while 20 others sustained various degree of injuries.
